The Value of VALUE ?

Hello and welcome to Blog No. 3

An unusual title for today's blog I am sure you will agree ?

I was listening to an audio broadcast today by a gentleman called Mark Anastasi, who is a well known internet marketer.

In his audio he was detailing 6 wealth creation secrets. One of these was a discussion about "value" or the value we offer to other people. Now when we hear that word nowadays we tend to equate it with money as in the often used phrase "value for money".

But in earlier times (ie prior to the physical money we know today) value referred to an exchange, let's say I give you an orange and you give me an apple. I know that today in certain places there's what's known as a "barter" system which is a similar exchange of goods and/or services where no money exchanges hands.

Mark Anastasi went on to say that the true nature of money in today's society is the equivalent to the value of exchange ? Now that is worth thinking about for a moment ?  What he was saying essentially is that the MORE value you offer people the better your monetary reward will be. So in essence if you want to create more money in your life and become wealthy then he suggests you need to think about adding more value.People will pay handsomely to solve their problems ask anyone who has been to see a lawyer, sorry but you know what I mean !

As humans we all have needs (food, money, love, etc ) and with 6 billion people on the planet there are a lot of needs/problems to solve. The more as a person you can help people to solve their needs/problems the more value you will add and the better the exchange of money for your services will be. Almost sounds too good to be true but there is a powerful truth here. So perhaps in the future we all need to think about the value we an add to a situation and let the money side sort itself out ? Knowing that you have added significant value should see you richly compensated !

I suppose it is still true to say that not all exchanges in human life can be wholly related to a monetary exchange. What about stopping to say hello to your neighbour or helping an elderly person across the road ? No monetary value can be placed on those exchanges but I believe the act of giving up one's time and being helpful has its own reward, that should be obvious ?

So, in closing today I would encourage you to think about the value of VALUE ? What more value can you offer in your job or business that will enable you to be more richly compensated ?  What extra value can you offer in your personal life with those closest to you and your friends ?

For me the value of VALUE is an intriguing and thought provoking discussion and I hope for you also.

Until next time

God Bless

Oliver
