Responsibilty starts and ends with ME !

Hello and Welcome to Blog No.4

I have been reading and re-reading a fascinating book over the last few days. Its called "Zero Limits' by Dr Joe Vitale and Dr Hew Len.It was first published in 2007 I believe ?

Dr Len is an Hawaiian psychologist who was employed in an hospital for the criminally insane in Hawaii for three years between 1984 and 1987.

The book tells the almost unbelievable story that unfolded there over that three year period and Dr Len's involvement. Without practicing any conventional therapies or attending case conferences Dr Len was able to oversee the discharge of the patients many of whom had committed savage acts of murder, rape etc and had been "diagnosed" as criminally insane. They were never expected to enter the outside world again ! The ward itself closed as a result of his work due to not being required any more.

So the obvious question is how ? Well Dr Len adopted a practice called "cleaning" based on ancient Hawaiian wisdom that required him to take TOTAL RESPONSIBILTY for what was happening in his patients. The way he did this was to accept that what was happening in and for his patients was his responsibility to "clean up" by working on what it was IN HIM that had led to his patients having this problem. The patients therefore are deemed "'perfect" and Dr Len's responsibility was solely to look at himself. Dr Len would look at the patients' notes and the feelings that came up for him. He would then repeat the following phrases said to God (Divinity) : "I Love You, I'm Sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You". Dr Len himself cannot explain how this worked but the essence is to "let go and let God". God knew what was best for the people under Dr Len's care and to this end he was a facilitator accepting what was in him that had led to this person's problem ie a shared programme or belief.

It is a truly amazing story which I have only skimmed the surface of here. The system is called "Ho'oponopono" . I suggest it deserves a closer look.

Many of us think we are taking responsibility in OUR lives for things that happen TO US but how many of us really take full responsibility for everything that happens in the world, for the criminally insane, for wars, for poverty ?! Ho'oponopono suggests that all things that come into our ambit are our responsibility to "clean" whether we accept that or not ? At the end of the day it is God that will do the work if we accept the responsibility that we have for being co- creators with that programme or belief.

For more details of the book check out : www.ZeroLimit.info and for the system www.hooponopono.org.

Til next time !

Be Responsible !

God Bless

Oliver
